Flames of War!
Bobe's Hobby House is now carrying Flames of War! This is the 15mm WWII wargame by Battlefront Miniatures out of New Zealand. Come check out the miniatures and rulebooks at the store, and watch theevents pagefor upcoming demos and games!
The July get together for the local Flames of War group was held July 29th at Bobe's. This group is growing rapidly, and put on 2 separate demonstration games this weekend. One group featured 1/72 scale models by Steve Borona and Thomas Klingman using the Flames of War rules with their own Italian and British miniatures. The other table was using 15mm miniatures from Flames of War and other companies. This table featured an ad hoc force of Mike Miller's American Forces teamed with Wendel Horn's Soviet troops against Jim Klein's Germans and Robert Scott's Finnish forces. Each table featured some nice terrain. Both tables also provided numerous players with the chance to try out the rules, and command a force during actual gameplay. We even had some friends in from Tallahassee running a DBA 15mm Ancients game during the weekend as well. Check out the pictures below!
