COX Goal Getters
Cox Communications, our local cable company has a great promotion they do with the area schools. It's called COX Goal Getters. Basically, each student sets goals with their teachers in an area they would like to improve. It could be grades, test scores, attendance, or many things. Each student who achieves their goal gets a prize folder from COX with coupons for free services, and an entry form to enter major prize drawings. This is the first year we at Bobe's Hobby House have been fortunate enough to be a part of this great program. We offered as our major prize a Traxxas Stampede radio controlled monster truck with battery and charger. Any student who met their goals could choose to be in this drawing.
For our first drawing, we would like to congratulate Forrest Rives of Blue Angels Elementary. We went to the school and met Forrest's parents. Together with the camera crew from COX, we all went to his classroom and surprised him with the presentation. It was a fun event, and I understand he is having a great time with the truck. Once again, congratulations, Forrest Rives!.
