Heat of Battle III - August 2009
National World War II Museum - New Orleans, LA


I just returned from the third episode of the Heat of Battle gaming convention in New Orleans. This is held each year at the National World War II Museum, formerly known as the D-Day museum. This is a great event held right in the middle of the museum floor, under the C-47. The museum had some nice new additions to show off. There is now a Bf 109 and an SBD Dauntless hanging from the ceiling. And we got a preview tour of the new expansion opening in November this year. There was once again great gaming both in the museum and in the show hotel after hours. One of the really cool things about this show is the goody bag you get at registration. Being the National World War II Museum, they have gotten great prize support from a number of manufacturers. So there are some great items in the door prize bags. AND you get admission to the museum as part of your entry as well. This is a great show, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to attend. So let's start planning now for Heat of Battle IV in 2010!!!
